2025 seems to have gone by like a hurricane.
I have never exchanged so much with you, as I did at the end of the year. And it seems like most of us are emerging from it looking a bit like a mohair sweater after a spin cycle in cotton mode. That is somewhat ยซย feltedย ยป and shrunken!
No surprise under such circumstances that we all should look at 2026 both with hope and wary lucidity: we are well aware that the world isn’t going to slow down or become a better place simply because we’ve turned a page on the calendar.
As for me, I have embraced this complex and challenging year 2025 – with is unpredictable weather, grim tourism sector and volatile business activity – not so much as an obstacle but rather as an opportunity to prepare for the seasons to wome. Let’s say it’s turned out to be a necessary step to imagine and build a brighter and more peaceful future.
Nevertheless, I persist in finding people utterly kind, nature incredibly beautiful, the light of Provence unique and the human talents that surround us highly inspiring. And I insist on celebrating the chance to live (or travel) in this beautiful part of Provence every day.
This is precisely why I will continue to pour all my energy and joy into my 2026 season preparations.
One difference thoughย : I will make a seemingly minor yet very beneficial adjustment. By turning the following aphorism into a daily priority:
ยซ Taking care of oneself is not a luxury, but rather a gentle survival strategy. ยป Which applies clearly to all of us. Right?
In 2026, the number of my Youpi escapades will slow down, giving me more beathing space. But don’t worry: this will be completely transparent to you. And I promise to bring in the same attention level, same enthusiasm and just as much shared fun during my apรฉros perchรฉs and gourmet evenings under the stars with my favorite partners.
I am currently using this winter time to quietly prepare for the upcoming season. Which implies among other things to revisit my beloved regions of northern Vaucluse, Baronnies and Drรดme Provenรงale. While remaining available at your convenience to help you plan your dream getaway.
In the meantime, let me wish you a happy and peaceful new year.
And wish for all of us to have enough energy and empathy to wholeheartedly support and encourage those around us who most need it.
